SAHARA ADVENTURES SARL AU
Solo Travellers, Private Groups & Families
Travel alone or bring everyone you know! We love helping groups of friends or families plan a truly memorable trip. You can choose one of our set itineraries for your private tour, OR contact us: we can customize an itinerary to make it perfect just for you! Make the most of your time in Morocco!
Solo Travellers
“Solo” means different things to different people…
- Are you “alone” but want to join a tour with others? You’re welcome! Sign up for one of our scheduled “Join Me” tours and meet new friends. Or contact us for other departures: some ‘custom’ tours welcome others to join the group. Either way, you benefit from reduced group pricing, and there’s NO single supplement.
- Are you “alone” and want to travel alone as well? You’re welcome! We can offer any of our scheduled programs as a private tour for the solo traveller. Just contact us for solo pricing. We can also create an itinerary tailored to your personal interests or needs. You can count on us to have great ideas and suggestions to make your tour unforgettable.
Sample prices shown on our site are per person, assuming a minimum of two people travelling. Contact us for solo pricing. We charge no single supplement.
Private Groups
We can arrange private tours for any number of people. While we typically transport smaller groups of up to six passengers in 4X4 vehicles that can handle everything from paved highways to desert dunes, we also use mini-vans or mini-buses to transport larger groups. Your comfort and safety are our priorities: we’ll discuss the transportation options with you when you contact us.
We can adapt any of our tours to any size of group, or customize a program just for you. We’re always ready with suggestions for itineraries, activities, or unique experiences to ensure your trip is never-forgettable!
Families
We’re family friendly! We do not charge for transportation services for children under five years of age, and children under 12 receive a discount of 15%. Children under five are required to travel in a car seat approved by the Moroccan government. We supply the appropriate car seat at no charge. You may not substitute equipment of your own.
We’ll work with you to make sure your children have a wonderful experience in Morocco. If you help us understand their needs and interests, we’ll suggest activities and experiences that they’ll long remember. If necessary, we’ll also adjust the travel schedule to take into account their ability to be in the car for extended periods of time. We’ll also recommend accommodations that are family-friendly.
Please see our Terms of Service for additional information regarding family travel.
If you are booking for yourself or for someone else who may have mobility issues, or for whom climbing stairs or walking on uneven pavement may pose difficulties, please contact us. We’ll then be able to be flexible in how we accommodate individual needs, provide realistic advice about the availability of options when it comes to visiting various sites, or be able to recommend accommodations that will also meet your needs. Please see our Terms of Service for additional information regarding mobility.

Terms of Service
SAHARA ADVENTURES SARL AU
On behalf of all of us at Sahara Adventures SARL AU, WELCOME! Thank you for choosing to travel with us! We hope you have a wonderful trip, and that your travels in Morocco leave you with memories you will cherish for a lifetime.
Let’s help each other to make sure that happens! Read more here about…
- Our responsibilities
- Your responsibilities
- Travelling with children
- Travelling with mobility issues
- Bookings, cancellations, and refunds
Our responsibilities…
- We provide a Moroccan driver who is trained, experienced, a local expert, and who speaks your language. He will be trustworthy, reliable, and attentive to your needs. As a principled, responsible operator, we pay your driver a living wage, and pay also for him to have basic meals and accommodations while travelling with you to ensure he is well-rested, properly nourished, and safe while driving.
- We monitor your trip: our administrator will know where you are at any time on your trip, and establishes contact with the driver at least once a day. You are welcome to leave our Canadian contact information with friends and family while you are travelling in case of emergencies. You will also have contact information for your driver, and our itinerary includes address and telephone details for all of your accommodations.
- We are responsible for delivering the itinerary you booked, and for ensuring your accommodations are available to you as booked. However, “things happen”. Road and weather conditions may from time to time affect our ability to follow the itinerary as scheduled, and we cannot be responsible for delays, interruptions, or the need to alter the program due to conditions beyond our control, whatever they may be. You can be assured that under any of these circumstances, we will do our best to offer options so that you have as much control over your overall experience as possible, and so that you are inconvenienced as little as possible.
Your responsibilities…
- Booking travel with us means that the risks of travelling in a foreign country are acceptable to you, and you have assessed your readiness for travel in Morocco to your own satisfaction. If you have made a booking on behalf of other people in your party, the risks of travelling in a foreign country are acceptable to them as well. Please heed your driver when he advises you of possible concerns for your safety or well-being.
- Anticipate your personal needs for comfort and safety while travelling. If you take any prescription medications or have preferences for specific over-the-counter drugs, ensure you bring sufficient supplies with you. Don’t expect that your preferred pharmaceuticals are available in Morocco, or are under familiar brand names. Take into consideration the season in which you’re travelling and the activities you plan to take part in, and pack accordingly.
- Ensure everyone in your party is covered by travel medical insurance. In keeping with Moroccan law, your driver carries a first aid kit that contains materials to treat minor ailments such as minor scrapes and cuts – but nothing more. You may use these at your own risk. In the event of a medical emergency, we will help you connect with your emergency helpline as prescribed in your travel medical insurance policy and as may be necessary, obtain help as the policy advisors direct. Unless it is safe for you and others in your party, including the driver, we will not transport you to a hospital or medical clinic without the express consent of your policy advisor, but will assist you in calling for an ambulance or police support. If you are travelling with a group, we will ensure you have responsible care, but will not unduly delay the others in your party from continuing with their trip.
- Talk to us! Let us know if there are things we can do to ensure you have a safe and comfortable trip. If you have food allergies, sensitivities, or preferences, let us know so that we can work with riads and restaurants to accommodate them. If you have preferences for hotel amenities or facilities (including bed preferences) let us know. It’s your trip: let us know if you would like to alter the program in order to do more or less of any particular activity. The only things we can’t alter without at least 24 hours’ notice are your accommodation reservations. (The accommodations may assess cancellation/alteration penalties for which you will be responsible.) Let your driver know if there’s anything he can do for you… your wish is our command!
- Respect the culture and people in the country where you are a guest. The Moroccan people are very tolerant of the cultural differences they see in the visitors to their country, but appreciate it when you show respect for theirs. Please dress comfortably, casually and modestly – probably much like you would do at home. Ask us if you need suggestions.
- Although alcohol is forbidden to Muslims, you will find that some people do drink, and Morocco has a respectable wine and beer industry. We will be happy to help you obtain alcohol, find a spot for a cocktail, or arrange for wine with dinner. Please, no drinking of alcohol in the car.
- Physical or verbal abuse or incivility directed toward your driver, service personnel, or other people will not be tolerated. Behavior of any kind that jeopardizes the comfort or safety of others, including fellow travellers, the driver, service personnel or others will not be tolerated. Any such behavior may result in your immediate removal from the tour without recourse or compensation.
- Plan to have the trip of a lifetime! You can return to Morocco again and again, but imagine that this is your only visit: if there is anything at all that we can do to enrich or deepen your experience, we will do our very best to make it happen. We love Morocco, and we want you to love it, too!
Travelling with Children… We’re family-friendly!
All of our tours can be tailored to meet the needs of families travelling with children. We understand that it’s sometimes difficult for children to be in the car for long periods of time. We’ll customize the program so you can travel at your pace. Many traditional Moroccan riads have rooms or suites designed with families in mind, and we’ll be pleased to recommend accommodations that suit your needs.
Children under five years of age are required to travel in government-approved car seats. We are pleased to provide these at no charge. You may not substitute equipment of your own.
You are responsible for the care, safety and direct supervision of your children at all times, whether travelling in our car, or while in restaurants, accommodations (including pools or playgrounds), on walking tours, while visiting attractions, or while on the premises of any other business or facility.
We will be happy to incorporate child-friendly activities into your tour program. Please contact us to discuss your child/children’s interests, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
Have mobility issues? We make Morocco accessible!
Some aspects of Morocco’s landscape and infrastructure can pose challenges for anyone with mobility issues. We’ll work with you to make the most of your trip to Morocco. You’ll find us sensitive to your individual circumstances, realistic about what awaits you in Morocco, and flexible in accommodating your wishes and needs.
